Now Affiliated with SC Del Sol

Yavapai Soccer is now affiliated with SC Del Sol.

SC Del SolWhat does it mean to you?

  • Why SC Del Sol?
They are one of the top clubs in Phoenix and their competitive program is the best in the state.  SC Del Sol is a Nike Premier Club, their oldest girls’ teams participate in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), the country’s elite, invitation only league for female athletes of which they are a founding member. Their oldest boys’ teams participate in the Western College Development Academy (WCDA) and the National Premier League. Both of these leagues are also invitation only and are comprised of the top boys clubs in the US.  We believe that their coaches and their methods can raise the level of play in the area to move us up the competitive ladder by helping us produce better coaches and players.  Their coaches have a massive wealth of knowledge that we can draw on holding NSCAA, USSF and UEFA licenses.
  • What does this mean to you the competitive player?
Yavapai Soccer coaches will have access to SC Del Sol coaches as a way of mentoring themselves and their teams.  We will be bringing in SC Del Sol coaches for training sessions and classes to improve our coaching and our coaches as well as going to them.  SC Del Sol coaches will be available for and will be utilized to train Yavapai teams at coach request.  We will also have access to and begin utilizing the SC Del Sol curriculum.  There may also be loan opportunities for players.
  • What does this mean to you the recreational player?
Yavapai will utilize SC Del Sol for coaching classes for our recreational coaches prior to the season.
  • Will this cost the average player more money?
Additional costs to players will be minimal.  Overall club fees will remain below what others are paying and if you are on scholarship those fees will be even less.

This is not an attempt to expand SC Del Sol but an opportunity for Yavapai to utilize the resources of what we believe is the top club in Phoenix in a way that helps Yavapai to grow stronger and produce better players and coaches.  As the affiliation grows there will be camp opportunities that we expect to develop, as well as other opportunities we will explore.
