Coaches at this time of year we are all excited the season is about to start and we all want to practice. Please be aware of hazards that may not be so obvious, at this time of year it is lightening. Even though the sky may be clear overhead please be aware of storms in the area. While travelling home today I saw something I have only read about. I saw lightening strike in front of me not once but twice and the sky overhead was clear. I was traveling down Hwy 89 just before Glassford and lightening hit on the north side of the highway. The storm was on the south side of Prescott Valley, th strike was a good 4 or 5 miles out from he storm. About 5 minutes later nearing my home the same thing happened, lightening struck virtually in front of me again with clear skies overhead, it had jumped out of the storm on the south side of town.
Please be cautious and aware.
