British soccer camp by Yavapai Soccer is awesome. We noticed that our kids have ball juggling skills and aren’t very good in game situations. Soccer camp taught that a good way to improve is to practice settling and passing the ball. They had them kick the ball at a net-wall and practice settling it and shooting. Then they participated in mini-games and learned pace. Our daughter is 16 and my little brother is 13 and they play all the time. You don’t really have to have amazing skill to make a team. If a Yavapai coach sees that you really want it and are working hard, regardless of your skill level, he will most likely put you on the team. Great camp — highly recommended.
