Competitive Select Program

About

The Select program offers intermediate-advanced training for the competitive player. Taught by licensed coaches, training sessions are held weekly and Select teams travel and compete in leagues and tournaments throughout the state in an extended season.  Participation on a Select team is by evaluation and invitation.

Walk-ups are also welcome. A parent or guardian must be present at a walk-up to sign participation forms.

 

Players born in 2009-2013

Tuesday, May 1st, 5:30pm -7:00pm at Bob Edwards Park.

Saturday, May 5th,  9:00am - 10:30am at MVP Pavilion Turf Field.

 

Players born in 2008-2002:

Thursday, May 3rd,  5:30pm - 7:00pm at Bob Edwards Park.

Saturday, May 5th, 10:30am - 12:00pm at MVP Pavilion Turf Field.

 

Parent Info Meeting

For players offered a position, there will be a mandatory Parent Meeting on May 7 at 6:00pm in the PV Library's Auditorium.  Program information and registration help will be provided. Please save the date!

 

Fees

“Select Academy”, U7-U10:   $415 for the 6 month season.

Registration fee of $85 is due by July 1.

Select Academy fees provide:

• Two training jerseys

• Minimum of 10 games played locally and in the greater Phoenix area

• 1 ASA Academy tournament

• 7 months of training by USSF licensed coaches

• Field, equipment, administration and league registration fees.

(Uniforms are purchased separately.)

 

Select U11-U12:  $725 for the 9 month season. Registration fee is $165 before June 1 and increases thereafter.

 

Select U13-U14: $760 for the 8 month season.  Registration fee is $170 before June 1 and increases thereafter.

 

Select U15 & Older: $670 for a 6 month season.  Registration fee is $180 before June 1 and increases thereafter.

Select fees provide:

• Two training jerseys

• Minimum of 9 league games played primarily in the greater Phoenix area

• Minimum of 2 competitive tournaments

• 9 months of training by USSF licensed coaches

• Field, equipment, administration and league registration fees.

Registration

Select participation is by invitation. Registration instructions are provided in these ways:

• In person at the Select Parent Meeting on May 7 at 6:00pm at the PV Library

• In person at Dick’s Sporting Goods store on August 1 at 5:30pm.

Birth Certificates Are Required!

ALL players are required to submit a copy of player’s CERTIFIED birth certificate when registering.

We must receive your player’s birth certificate by August 1st  to be able to begin training with the team.

If you submitted a birth certificate last soccer season you will still need to submit it again.

 

***If your player has a foreign birth certificate they will need an International Clearance form completed. . Please follow the link below, gather, complete and submit ALL necessary documents.

Financial Assistance

Hardship financial assistance is available to families for whom the club deems the registration fees would cause a financial burden. Each hardship application is considered on a case by case basis, based on need and available funds, and reviewed and responded to in a timely manner.

All Select players applying for financial assistance must apply for the Max In Motion scholarship through YSC. The deadline to apply for MIM is June 15.
