YSC coaches are a dedicated group comprised of paid individuals and volunteers, former professional players, and fully certified National coaches.
Values such as experience, education, qualifications, work ethic, management and communication skills, preparation personal integrity and behavior and appropriate coach-to-player age and level matching are considered in coach appointments. In turn, the coaching staff set challenging yet attainable standards for the players.
The aim of all YSC coaches is to develop successful teams by developing well – rounded soccer players that participate in a player-centered training program. In order to achieve this objective, YSC coaches are strongly urged to further their soccer education by participating in licensing courses conducted by various organizations including the United States Soccer Federation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Recreational program coaches are volunteers who commit to attend each practice and game during the 10 week fall season. Good communication skills and patience are required. Training is provided at the mandatory Rec Coach Meeting and Youth Modules courses. (See below).
Register as a Rec Coach at the blue "REGISTER" banner above. (Required).
Select competitive program coaches have previous soccer playing and coaching experience and receive pay for training and travel, and reimbursement for mandatory coaching education during the 9 month Select season.
